My experience at Byron College was a very positive one; I think this was because of the inspired, dedicated and highly committed staff; skills such as good insight of individual student’s character and the ability to meet every educational need through a personalized approach were continually exhibited by the school teaching staff. The reinforcement and good communication between teachers – school administration – parents and students were always in our best interest, to guarantee success.
Byron College, though the smallest compared to the big International schools here in Athens, is also the most diverse, resembling a colourful cultural fan of students from different nations; this of course is reflected every year in the annual culture day, which offers a unique experience of this international relationship. Instilling values and sculpting character for a successful citizenship of the future are some principals which apply for the humanity issues and volunteerism that Byron College is committed to.
Through a wide range of volunteer activities, the values of compassion, empathy, condolence, and respect to human life are reflected and implemented by both teachers and pupils. I would like to thank everyone for providing me with such positive, vivid and colourful experiences throughout my time in Byron College; memories that I will forever cherish and that have shaped me into who I am today.
