At Byron College, we actively encourage student leadership by offering a range of roles and opportunities that empower students to take initiative, contribute to their community, and develop essential skills for the future. Rooted in our CARE values, leadership at Byron is about inspiring others through Action, building collaboration within our Community, and demonstrating Respect in all interactions.
Students can take on formal leadership positions such as Head Boy, Head Girl, or other members of the Primary and Secondary Student Leadership Teams, where they represent their peers, share ideas, and help shape school life. Our Heads of Houses lead their teams in fostering school spirit and collaboration across competitions, events, and initiatives. Other roles include sustainability ambassadors, sports captains, and project leaders, ensuring students of all ages and interests have a chance to develop their voice and influence.
Leadership at Byron is not just a title—it’s a mindset that encourages students to build confidence, take responsibility, and inspire positive change within their school and beyond.
