Erasmus+
We delighted to announce that Byron College has already embarked on the project CHAPTER (Cultural Heritage and Promotion of Togetherness among European Readers), a two year long Erasmus+ project, namely an international pupils school exchange programme with partner schools in Croatia, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Sweden. It is a great privilege for us as only a few schools have been selected for this scheme.
The basis of the project is to develop the skills of further reading through an international experience where peer support is a very valuable method in this endeavor. In line with the European Union's efforts to preserve Europe's cultural heritage, the project will showcase the national literatures of the 6 countries involved and share the results using students' digital skills. Last but not least, teachers will exchange contemporary teaching methods desirable in the development of school curricula.
The project’s activities are numerous and include:
- Book Club
- Language Workshops
- Book Review publishing
- Pen Pal activities for personal and academic purposes
- e-book creation
- Celebration of World Read Aloud Day
- Storytelling
